Texas Hemp Laws 2026: What’s Legal After July 31?
PB&J is an Indica THCa flower strain from the Peanut Butter Breath family, and this living soil batch is the most potent flower in our current release: 33.030% THCa with 35.811% total cannabinoids, the highest CBGa on our menu at 1.954%, and the lowest Δ9-THC of the drop at 0.115%. Its 1.280% terpene profile is myrcene-led and unusually clean.
PB&J is an Indica strain named for its nutty, jam-sweet character. This living soil batch tests at 33.030% THCa, 29.083% total THC, and 35.811% total cannabinoids — the highest of all three figures in this release. Total CBD was not detected. Δ9-THC is 0.115%, the lowest in the drop, which makes the THCa-to-Δ9 ratio here about as clean as flower gets: very little of the acid has decarboxylated in storage.
The minor cannabinoid fraction is exceptional. CBGa at 1.954% is the highest we have listed, with CBCa at 0.381%, THCVa at 0.270%, and CBC at 0.061%. That 2.67% of minor acids on top of the THCa is where the 35.811% total comes from.
Total terpenes come in at 1.280%, led by β-myrcene at 0.50% (39% of the profile), then limonene (0.29%), α-humulene (0.09%), linalool (0.08%), and a tight cluster of β-pinene, menthol, endo-fenchyl alcohol and α-bisabolol at 0.06% each, plus α-pinene 0.04% and ocimene 0.02%. Caryophyllene was not detected.
Worth being straight about: this is a living soil batch, and our previous PB&J was hydro. It tests slightly lower on THCa (33.030% vs 34.678%) and noticeably lower on total terpenes (1.280% vs 2.356%). What it gains is a much richer minor cannabinoid fraction and a cleaner, less peppery aromatic profile — with no caryophyllene and α-bisabolol present, the spice of the old batch is replaced with something softer and more chamomile-floral. If you bought the hydro run, this is a different expression of the same name. Different, not worse — but different.
The nose is the reason for the name: roasted nut and warm butter over sweet berry jam, with an earthy musk underneath from the heavy myrcene. The 0.29% limonene brightens the jam side into something closer to fruit preserve than candy, and there is a soft chamomile-floral note from the α-bisabolol that sits at the edge of it.
On the palate: nutty and toasty first, sweet dark berry through the middle, a mild herbal-hoppy note from the humulene, and a smooth, cool finish with a touch of menthol. With caryophyllene absent there is no pepper bite at all — this batch is notably round and easy on the exhale for something testing above 33%.
PB&J is an Indica in our lineup and behaves accordingly: relaxing, mood-lifting, and strongly appetite-stimulating. Leafly's top three reported effects for the strain are relaxed, hungry, and aroused, and users describe a light-hearted lift that settles into comfortable physical ease rather than an immediate knockout.
The chemistry here supports that read. Myrcene at 39% of the profile plus linalool and α-bisabolol is a calming combination, and at 33.030% THCa there is plenty behind it. Best for evening use, dinner, decompressing, and winding down. Start small— this is the most potent flower in the release, and the smooth smoke makes it easy to take more than you meant to.
PB&J is a name shared by at least four unrelated cultivars, and no source resolves which one any given batch descends from. We would rather lay out the claims than pick one and pretend.
Weedmaps lists three of these at once and credits two breeders, without resolving the conflict. Leafly's Peanut Butter and Jelly page lists no lineage at all.
The one clean fact in the family is the parent: Peanut Butter Breath = DoSiDos × Mendo Breath f2, bred by ThugPug Genetics, which took 3rd place in the Mixed Light category at the 2018 Emerald Cup. That award belongs to Peanut Butter Breath, not to PB&J, and we are not transferring it.
On classification: we list PB&J as Indica because that is how it behaves and how our customers use it. For the record, Leafly, Weedmaps, and AllBud all classify it as a balanced hybrid. The effects consensus — relaxing, appetite-forward, evening — is what drives our call, along with this batch's myrcene-led profile.
Do not confuse this with Peanut Butter Breath, Peanut Butter Kush, Peanut Butter Jelly Breath (808 Genetics), PB&J Runtz, or PB & Jealous — all separate strains.
A full Certificate of Analysis (COA) is available — see the linked PDF on this product page.
Is PB&J Indica or Sativa?
We classify PB&J as an Indica based on its relaxing, appetite-forward, evening-leaning effects and this batch's myrcene-dominant profile. Leafly, Weedmaps and AllBud all list it as a balanced hybrid.
What does PB&J taste like?
Roasted nut and warm butter over sweet berry jam, with earthy musk underneath and a soft chamomile-floral edge. Smooth on the exhale with no peppery bite — caryophyllene was not detected in this batch.
What is the dominant terpene in this PB&J batch?
β-Myrcene, at 0.50% — about 39% of the 1.280% total. Limonene is second at 0.29%.
What are the parents of PB&J?
Disputed. Four different crosses are claimed by four different sources, all within or adjacent to the Peanut Butter Breath family. The parent strain Peanut Butter Breath is well documented as DoSiDos × Mendo Breath f2 from ThugPug Genetics.
How is this batch different from the last PB&J?
The previous batch was hydro at 34.678% THCa with 2.356% terpenes. This one is living soil at 33.030% THCa with 1.280% terpenes but a much richer minor cannabinoid fraction — CBGa 1.954%, CBCa 0.381%, THCVa 0.270% — and a softer, less peppery aroma.
How potent is this batch?
33.030% THCa with 35.811% total cannabinoids — the most potent flower in our current release.
Store PB&J in an airtight container in a cool, dark, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat. This batch's very low Δ9 reading means the THCa is well preserved — keeping it cool and dark is how it stays that way.
All thisthat CBD flower is slow-cured, hand-trimmed, and third-party lab tested. Our products comply with federal hemp regulations and are shipped discreetly to qualifying states. Each batch is evaluated for potency, moisture balance, and overall quality before it reaches you.
